Superschnelle Pisten und tiefe Flüsse
Im Zeitraum vom 26.06.2015 bis 28.06.2015 nahm MCA-Fahrer Michael Ott-Eulberg auf seiner Speedbrain am ersten WM-Lauf zum Baja World Cup für Motorräder und Geländefahrzeuge im oberitalienischen Pordenone mit ca. 110 Teilnehmern teil.
Nicht nur, dass die Strecke sehr unterschiedlich war, nämlich extrem schnelle Abschnitte zwischen 150 bis 170 kmh auf Schotterpisten und tiefe zahlreiche Flussdurchfahrten, so war es auch mit den Wetterbedingungen. Es wechselte ab zwischen extremer Hitze und Intensivregen und Hagel mit kirschkerngroßen Hagelkörnern. Die Veranstaltung führte über rund 700 km an zwei Tagen.
Michael Ott-Eulberg vom Motorsportclub Augsburg belegte den 10. Platz in der Weltcupklasse und startet somit vom 10. Platz in die WM-Saison.
Der Italiener Dutto Nicola fuhr als Querschnittsgelähmter auf einer speziell präparierten Maschine. Ein Anhalten war ihm nur beim Start und beim Zieleinlauf mit Unterstützung des Begleitfahrers Julian Villarrubia möglich. Diese Leistung ist nur möglich gewesen aufgrund des perfekten Fahrkönnens des querschnittsgelähmten Fahrers. Die Ausfallquote lag über 30 %.
